Go Yota Empty
PostSubject: Go Yota   Go Yota Empty2/25/2009, 5:29 am

So my electrics never really recovered from Sat. Every so offen i get in to start it and......nothing. Then ill give it a sec and starts up like nothings wrong. My charge battery and hand brake light(??? theyre right next tp each other, could be related) keep flickering on the drive to work in the morning. Its really a riot. Im heading to pull a part with redeye sometime this week to grab one of those handy dandy fuse boxes that nuff liked so much and anything that i can to fix this. But i am open to suggestions of what else i can do...while im at it

Thanx

id say go out and buy some 4ga wire or better and make a few awesome grounds.

add a new 10ga or better wire going from your alt + post to the + terminal of the batt. you can leave teh old one if you want.

buy a stock fan or ill bring ya one.

the brake and the alt light together is the dummy light for "oh shit the alt is toast" recommend saturn alt upgrade.

and get a optima cherry

k i gotta go to bed now Go Yota 636856

Guess we can grab a Saturn alt. while at PAP.

..and like nuff said rewire your grounds and you alternator lead. That and a new fuse block and you should be gold.

I think your fan is fine and you need a new thermostat. Razz

You could run a stock fan as a primary and then flip the electric to the front side of the rad, have it on a switch for backup cooling when you're wheelin.. Fans can push or pull by reversing the polarity but some of the blades dont work work well in both directions so you may need to flip it or find a pusher..

You can fip the blades on his. It works fine...it was a bad thermostat, which, even with a mechanical fan would cause it to overheat...

Fan = not the problem.

i put a big F'n hole in his thermostat, i should hope it runs cool.

id replace the alt and do the wire upgrade BEFORE i cut the wires at the fuze box. then just glue it back together cuz your truck will be fine. it doesnt test broke, your grounds only did...

F that electric fan, it has never worked well or pulled that much air. i think it would be fine for a "normally used" vehicle. but extreme circumstances demand extreme measures. i NEVER have cooling issues Go Yota 636856

Be that as it may, but the only issues ive had with that fan is that a) it was shitly wired in the firsttime, and b) had a busted ass thermostat

Im sure it will work fine once all my ducks are in a row

But im am not worried about having to change it out coz nuff drilling idea looks really fun pirat

No pull a part...

Got new 2 guage + & - cables though and redid the wire to the fuse panel.

Now cap, rotor wires and plugs, one of his wires was cracked. Suspect
