Hi all, one of the guys at my shop that I do tech support for just brought me his Gateway laptop that had been burned to a crisp. He had it plugged in yesterday and the power cord shorted out while he was at work. It was sitting on a $1000 coffee table and nearly burned his house down.. Upon further research this is a common problem in some Gateway and Dell laptops. Be careful and try not to leave these things plugged in or you could come home to an unplanned BBQ!!!!!
